Half-Day Excursion to Kamakura
Kamakura became the political center of Japan, when
Minamoto Yoritomo chose the city as the seat for his new gSamuraih government
in 1192. The Kamakura government continued to rule Japan for over a century,
first under the Minamoto shogun and then under the Hojo regents. Today,
Kamakura is a very popular tourist destination. Kamakura offers numerous
temples, shrines and other historical monuments.
After closing remarks, let us go to a half-day
excursion to Kamakura. We will visit the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in, the Hasedera Templesome,
and Turugaoka
Hachimangu, and dissolve at Yokohama Station. The registration of the
excursion is available with the accommodation booking.
